My emotional connections to people felt more intense and I was beginning to hear and see things I could not quite explain. I had always known that I was an empath and that I had a connection to the spirit world, but when my sister died, that connection got stronger. I was distraught, but something began to happen shortly after my sister passed. Two years after moving to Texas, I lost someone who was like a mother to me and two years after that, I lost my sister unexpectedly. I relocated from Rhode Island to San Antonio, Texas in 2016 with my partner and from there things started to unfold for me. While I believe traditional counseling is amazing and extremely beneficial, there was something missing for me as a practitioner. My goal was to be a mental health counselor, but something felt off for me. All of this to say, that I have gained experience in many different areas, none of which I expected to lead me where I am today. I obtained my associates degree in medical assisting from Bay State College in Boston, Massachusetts, my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts, and my master’s degree in clinical counseling from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut.
